Gap Year

I have been asked to write about taking a gap year inbetween leaving college and starting university or work. I think that taking a gap year is not for me as i dont see what i will gain from this. From the time i would have spent away i could have started a year of university and learnt about the course i want to take or i could have spent a year in work and started earing money. I think that the gap year is not for me because i dont see the real benefit that i will gain from gonig away for a while when i could be furthering my education or carrer.

Tidy Up

I was asked to tidy up my home area (or the folders with my work in) so that they could be marked and graded and so i could have feedback given to me. All of my folders were in the corerct order e.g. they had the teachers name, unit name and unit number, but to improve them i put sub-folders in them to show what information was assignments, word documents, powerpoints, publisher etc. From this it then splits up my information so i can sort though it all easier and it is tidy and easy to navigate around

Soap Box

We have been asked to do a 1 - 2 minute presentation about something that we want to. It can be anything we want to talk about and only has to last a short time.
For this i have decided to do mine about Go-karting as its something that i have been doing for almost 8 years and its something that i enjoy.

Setting Up My Tasks

For this task we had to make reminders for all of the assignments that are due in. This then shows us everytime that we log onto outlook it will remind us when these are due in, also i have written a little note in them saying where i am up to and how long i think it will take me to finish them. I did this by using the Snipping Tool to cut this part out and then i saved this image. This will help me manage my time because it will remind me when they are due in while i am in college, also it will help me because it means that i can see the dates when they are due in and i can keep a record of how much work i do on each every time i check the reminder because i will update them.
